Camellia ‘Doctor King’ is an upright to bushy, evergreen shrub with glossy, broadly elliptic, dark green leaves and, in spring (March – May), ruffled, single to semi-double reddish-pink flowers with prominent yellow stamens.
Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained acid soil in a sheltered position. Protect emerging buds and flowers from cold, dry winds and early morning sun. Feed in mid-spring and early summer with a sequestered iron fertiliser.
